I have been uploading some stories, but I find it hard to make a post for you. I hope everyone is safe and coping well with what’s going on in the last few weeks. I am staying at home as much as possible, I am safe and healthy, but sometimes I find it challenging to be creative and productive - at least I’m trying. Nonetheless, the important thing is for us to be safe. As for the studio, it will remain closed until further notice. I will be going for a few hours to work on something I can’t work at home, and finish a few commission pieces. Good news, though, despite the chaos we are currently living in. Deliveries are still available, but not daily. You can place your orders, but public safety comes first; therefore, I am minimizing unnecessary movements. Deliveries will be open every Thursday. That’s not art”. “You craft paper ? You’re not a crafter”. “You work long hours ? You will never be able to have a family”. “You don’t work long hours ? Why are you lazy”? “Who cleans the house and does the laundry”? These are some of the comments I had through out my student years and career, only the ones I could remember in 2 minutes. Most of them did in fact came from men. One thing is for sure , I didn’t prove them wrong, I proved to myself that their words were simply words intended to hurt me. False words. Words that don’t come from care or love. I hated the fact that these men affected the mental health of my old self . As far as I am concerned the only thing I should be doing more is smile. I should smile more. I am proud of the work I do, proud of myself and my accomplishments and I should smile more 🙂 I’m proud of myself ! Yeay me ! *disclaimer I pay someone to clean the house and do the laundry. Or if my husband needs a clean shirt, he is a smart and capable man of doing it himself. #internationalwomensday #herstory #idw #eachforequal #womensday
And here it is, my official “Butterfly Suite XVI And here it is, my official “Butterfly Suite XVII” 2020 Studio Window. What do you think ? 🙂 Info: As always, the Studio Window consist of 3 individual windows. .The large one being 250x150cm and the 2 small ones 50x150cm. .On each window there is 1 vintage frame and together it holds over 15 yards of various fabrics, over 5.000 pins and screws help it stay together, 5 yards of chicken wire, 2 cans of large construction foam, more than 300 butterflies and 1000 small and large faux flowers. It took 1 week preparations and 4 days to make, a messy studio in which I am still cleaning, cuts and bruises over my hands and legs and physiotherapy for back pain. And yet I still enjoyed every second of it 🙂 I hope you do too. Don’t ask about how much it cost me, I try not to think about it and my accountant husband will definitely not be happy about it :p Photo by: @rinis13

New custom monogram vintage notebook all dressed u New custom monogram vintage notebook all dressed up in floral. Vintage notebooks: these are original vintage notebooks from around the 90’s found in an old bookstore warehouse. Back then for some reason the notebooks felt more high quality. The paper was different and writing on this silky paper is just a joy ! This also means that there are limited pieces. I managed to get just a few boxes and will most definitely not be able to find any more. The image: is of a floral wallpaper with texture and is also printed on fine textured paper for more effect. Monogram: Hand drawn first, later add the rhinestones, one-by-one. My personal preference is lowercase.
